Karibu to our new peer educators!
Two weeks ago we welcomed five new peer educators to the Sawa World family. Sheila, Operational Director from Team Uganda, trained Milly, Jordan, Susan, Sophie and Esther to run the Sawa World Solution Program at their vocational training centre, M.C.E. (Mentor.Coach.Empower.), for youth dropouts in rural areas of Mukono, located two hours from Kampala. With the Sawa World Solution Program (Toolkit) in tow, M.C.E. will be screening five different Sawa World Solution Videos at the centre and in their communities that vulnerable youth can easily replicate to help improve their livelihoods.
Founded by James Katumba and Solomon Edwin, M.C.E. runs leadership and business training programs based on the philosophy that “you can achieve your true potential through a threefold approach of mentoring, coaching and empowering as the pillars.” Their fabulous programs are perfectly aligned with Sawa World’s “Solutions from Within,” and their team is eager to start sharing Solutions with the youth in their communities.
After the full day of training, the M.C.E. team was excited and inspired by the new tools and knowledge they acquired and they can’t wait to impact 100s of youth in their communities. For more information on M.C.E. head to their website: http://www.mceuganda.org
