Sawa Youth Explain Sawa World

Sawa Youth Reporters in Uganda create short videos on the work of Sawa Leaders (community visionaries) in their communities. But now, the camera has turned around to help explain the work of Sawa Youth Reporters!

Produced by Stephen Ssempala and Moreen Kwikiriza, a new short video features Sawa Youth Reporters from Uganda who explain the uniqueness of Sawa World and why local solutions will always work better then international aid.

In the video, Outreach Director Sheila Ampumuza explains, “the key reason we use media is to create awareness and awaken the public to focus on what’s already working and that’s solutions from within. So they [the community] can use it to come out of extreme poverty by applying it in their own lives.”

Please share the video with your friends and consider contributing some funds to help a Sawa Leader
