Eujenio Mujuni

About Eujenio

Growing up in Kawempe, a Kampala slum, Eujenio Munjuni decided early on that rather than waiting for an office job to find him, he was going to create his own projects to alleviate poverty. He began by making candles and soon enough his candle business, Hanny Enterprises, became very successful. The company grew large enough for him to employ nine other youth and to teach over fifty youth and women from surrounding villages how to make candles. Like Eujenio, these youth and women have been able to support their families and pay their rent through the income they make from selling candles, and many have even been able to establish their own candle companies.
