Rosette Komuhangi

About Rosette

When she was just 11-years-old, Rosette Komuhangi was inspired by her science lessons at the URDT Girl’s School to try to make herbal soap from local plants. As it turns out, the soap she made cured many of the skin issues that her neighbors in Rubazi Village had been dealing with. Following this discovery, she founded an organization called Develop Empowered Members in Our Community in order to teach others how to make and sell the soap. Rosette’s passion for helping others has led her to teach more than twenty people how to make soap, providing them an income source and valuable business experience that is helping to alleviate poverty in the community.
