In May 2021, Florence Abalo attended a Sawa World training on home grown gardens that was organized in by Fondazione Italia Uganda with an aim of finding alternative sources of income and food for a group of women and men from the Acholi Quarters Community in Kampala.
Today, Florence has enough food for her and her family; and also earns additional income from selling the vegetables that she grows using the knowledge and skills that she got through the training.
